Our ministries

Children’s programs

We treasure our children and love the joy, excitement and sincerity they bring to our church. We seek to include them in our services, while also giving them their own space to learn more about Jesus.
Our children’s programs on Sundays are fun, creative and full of biblical teaching. Our kids love spending time together and we hope your kids will count down the days ‘til Sunday too.
We take child safety very seriously. All our children’s ministry leaders are police-checked and regularly trained in child safety.

On Sundays we run:
  • Little Lights for kids up to four years old, with stories and songs for infants and toddlers.
  • Bright Sparks for kindy to Year 3s where the focus is on fun and discovering our place in God’s big story.
  • Ignite for upper primary school students.

MAINLY MUSIC

Mainly Music is a fun opportunity for young children and their caregivers to enjoy music, rhyme, rhythm, creative dance and more. Throughout the session, children develop gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination, mathematical and pre-reading skills as well as socialize with others. Mainly Music is also an opportunity for parents to network with other parents of preschool children and build the ‘village’ around your child. Each session includes a structured component, a time of free play and morning tea!

Wednesday 9:45am - 11:15pm (during the school term) | Glen Osmond Baptist Church
$5 per session, including morning tea

WAR VETERANS

Glen Osmond Baptist Church has had a long-term relationship with the War Veterans Home, with members of our community assisting to run Sunday morning church services for the residents.

CAMBODIA

Glen Osmond Baptist Church is proud to support the Hutchinson family as missionaries to the Khmer people in Cambodia. Luke, Rachel, Isaac, Tahlia and Michaela arrived in Cambodia in October 2018 and will be learning the language and culture of the Khmer people and seeking opportunities to reveal the presence, hope and transforming power of Jesus.

We also support aid and development projects in Cambodia and are planning an exposure trip in October 2019.
